Billing

You pay for the machine time your jobs use, by the second. The plans are on the pricing page.

What a job costs

Every plan has the same rate: $0.0005 per vCPU-minute. A job’s cost is its machine’s vCPUs times the time the machine ran, counted in seconds.

MachinePer minuteA 3 minute job
2 vCPU$0.001$0.003
4 vCPU$0.002$0.006
8 vCPU$0.004$0.012
16 vCPU$0.008$0.024

The time runs from when the machine starts to when it shuts down, rounded up to the next second. There’s no per-job minimum and no rounding up to the minute. A runner that fails on our side, or never gets a job, costs you nothing.

Plans and the monthly fee

Pay as you go has no monthly fee. Pro is $20 a month and Team $100 a month, and the fee counts as usage: on Pro, your first $20 of jobs each month is already paid for. You pay the rate for what you use beyond it. Higher plans run more jobs at once, on bigger machines.

You switch plans under Settings → Billing in the dashboard. A plan you change during the month counts its fee for what’s left of the month.

Paying

Payments go through Stripe. Jobs start once your organization has a card on file or credit on its account; there’s no free trial. The monthly fee is charged at the start of each month, and usage beyond it goes on the next invoice. Invoices are in the dashboard and in your email.

If a charge fails, we email whoever handles billing, and jobs keep running while Stripe tries the card again.

Credit

Credit on your account pays for jobs before anything is charged to your card, and with credit your jobs run without a card. Once it’s used up, new jobs wait until you pick a plan and add a card. Credit can’t be refunded or exchanged for cash.

Spend limit

Set a monthly spend limit under Settings → Billing. We email you at 50%, 80% and 100% of it. When you reach it, new jobs wait until you raise the limit or your next billing month starts. Jobs that are already running finish.

Seeing what you spend

The dashboard shows what this month has cost so far, and what each repository, workflow and run cost. A run’s page shows the machine each job ran on and its cost.
